My Thoughts....

I enjoyed the story even though it was a little predictable. However, it was still a good sweet read where you find Tameka had a horrible marriage and coming out of it with two children she definitely had reason for trust and heartache issues especially what she had endured from that crazy ex. I will say karma is something in what call comes to that ex.

It was great to see by the end Tameka finding someone like Jeb who went after what he wanted and even having his cousin Channing and his wife Kemara behind him was definitely good.

So, from heartbreak to truly happiness...."Safe Place" would be a good read to see how it all happened.

"Of Beast and Bonds" by N.D. Jones

My Thoughts......

This novel was a the second in the 'Death and Destiny' which featured.....Special Agent Assefa Berber and Dr. Sanura Williams picks up where book one left off [from the extensive world built around Western African lore and their culture]. The readers gets a paranormal romance [darker preternatural element] that was quite complexed. in how this author presents this dramatic story to the reader. How will this couple have a relationship and 'the fate that will fight against them? Why wasn't this relationship not complete? What did Sanura's father have to do with that situation? How would these two main characters deal with 'adversity, strife, betrayal, death, trials and tribulations?' How will 'having faith, love and strength' aid these two as the deal with all that is put in front of them? To find out all these answers to the questions and much more you will have to pick up the well written read and see for yourself how well this author brings it all out to the reader.

Be ready for a interesting long mythology ride as this author take you in a story full of 'strife, turmoil, mythical depictions, murders, vivid imagery, battles, destruction's, betrayals and death.'

The characters from [Sanura, Assefa, Rashad, Makena, Mike, Mimi Wata, Omar, Greg Zareb, Omar, Sam, Stephen, Manute, Dahad, Najja, Michael, Cynthia, Eric, Rachel, Pilar, Paul] and to name a few were well developed, strong, willed, portrayed with imaginations that were off the chart giving the reader one good read that will definitely keep your attention to the end. This author really knows how to give the readers some interesting 'hot sexy love scenes.' In the end will these two Assefa and Sanura [ Fire Witch and Cat of Legend] get their HEA?

If you are looking for a very strong and entertaining read [of African Mythology with some urban fantasy/paranormal romance] then you have come to the right place for "Of Beast and Bonds" will give it all to you.

"Dirty Bonds" by B.M. Hardin & Lola J was indeed that only these authors did write so very well and it was a short read. I found "Dirty Bonds" it was one of those crazy reads that will entertain you turning the pages to the very end. The characters...the three sisters , along with Devon and a few more will give you a interesting read that will keep your attention.

Here is a little from the authors...

"Money aint the only thing that can get you out of Jail on Bail!
***“"Look, I don’t need the money. I have plenty of money. But let me tell you how this works. You see this contract…let me tell you what it says. It says I’ll post your bail, and have my one hell of a lawyer or judge friend get you off, or pay somebody to get you off under one condition…that DICK belongs to me; anytime, anywhere, until the contract is up. That means, your wife can’t know a thing about our little agreement and that also means that I want the works; I want to be fucked…not played with. Pleased not left unsatisfied; no in between, straight like that. So, where do we go from here is up to you. So, what’s it going to be?” I said in closing as I liked my lips. Devon leaned back in his chair and eyed me as if he was trying to read my mind. My guess was that he was trying to figure out if I was serious or if it all was some sick, twisted joke. But I was dead ass serious. He eyed me up and down, just before biting his bottom lip. After a few more minutes, he cleared his throat and crossed his arms over his chest. “Okay,” he said…I grinned."


Now, after reading that I am sure if you pick up "Dirty Bonds" you will see how splendid these authors will bring it all out to the readers. I found these authors really gives the readers a look at the psyche of the characters that will leave you shaking your head and thinking from 'power of money, sex, deception, and lies with multiple twist and turns' we get a intriguing read. Then, by the end of the novel you will get an ENDING that will only having you waiting for 'part two' to see what is next to come.
