REVIEW BY MERISSA - End of Ever After A Cinderella Retelling by E.L. Tenenbaum
End of Ever After: A Cinderella Retelling - E. L. Tenenbaum

End of Ever After is the first in a series of fairy tale re-tellings by E.L. Tenenbaum. After reading this one about CinderElla, I can only say that I WILL be reading the others. This was a fantastic re-telling of the original story, rather than the Disney version. I loved how it was played out, told as past and present tense intermingle, giving you hints of what is to come without knowing the full details.

I thought the names given to the characters were excellent, and I thoroughly enjoyed putting the descriptions of the characters and their new names to the ones I already know. Some of the characters hide their truths, others wear them as a shield. Either way, this book is full of characters to love or loathe. I will say from the start that Matteus was a favourite of mine, and I only hope for a HEA in his future! As for the ending here? Sheer perfection for the story. I couldn't envisage it any other way, and don't want to either.

With no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading, I found this book to be wonderfully paced, giving a rich story without too many or not enough embellishments. I loved this world, and can't wait to return to it. Absolutely recommended by me.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

"The Dryad's Shoe" by T. Kingfisher

A fun Cinderella retelling, with a Cinderella who's way more interested in gardening techniques than romance.

Cinder's Wolf: A Shifter Retelling of Cinderella (A BBW Shifter Fairy Tale Retelling Book 2)
Cinder's Wolf: A Shifter Retelling of Ci... Cinder's Wolf: A Shifter Retelling of Cinderella (A BBW Shifter Fairy Tale Retelling Book 2) - Sylvia Frost Great spin on the Little Cinder Girl. Rex the wolf prince of wall street and Cynthia the OCD neat freak are two characters cut from the same cloth. Very entertaining tale that got a few chuckles out of me. The main thing about reinventing a classic tale is that it has to be believable and this absolutely was. The stepmother not so evil, step sisters not so jealous and the different characters from other familiar tales blending in seamlessly. Drawback of the story, editing issues. Overall rating 3.5.

And Oram just fixed my entire week!
Cinder & Ella - Kelly Oram

GOSH!!! Seriously!!!!!
OMG!!

This was exactly what I needed. Something cute & fluffy, with great banter and a really feel-good-happy-clappy-ending.
It reduced me to mush. And made me even sigh happily. I will stop gushing and fangirling and try to wipe that stupid grin of my face...
or maybe not...
ANYHOW! Oram has just once more proven why I love her novels and is on my list of top indie young adult authors.
SO my review will follow... closer to release date
AND if you haven't heard about the ball:

DONT MISS IT!!!

Before Midnight: A Retelling of "Cinderella"
Before Midnight: A Retelling of "Cinderella" - Cameron Dokey I don't know why, but I didn't expect too much from this book.. Well, obviously I have to say that I was wrong.. It's well written, way too different from the story that I used to know (even though this book is based on the original story of Cinderella).. What else should I say? I really liked it! <3
