Tanya Martin is a gym teacher by day and wide receiver for the Cleveland Clash by evening. When she runs into her ex-best friend (and secret love) Cam Simmons, a Superbowl champion and MVP, on the same day as she finds her father’s gym in financial trouble, her day can’t get much worse. When Cam keeps showing up everywhere Tanya is, she’s at a loss on how to shake him. Cam knows he made a mistake by ignoring Tanya for so long. Now that he’s in Cleveland for a few weeks, he must figure out a way to make amends and maybe get her to accept him in a whole new light.
This was a quick read and good story. It was easy to see why Tanya felt the way she did. Watching her fall for Cam all over again and trying to stay strong while trying to save her father’s business was something worth reading. All of the characters were well written. I enjoyed reading about them as Cam and Tanya dealt with being reunited and re-learning each other all over again.
I highly recommend to anyone that likes strong heroines and contemporary books with a sports theme.
