REVIEW BY MERISSA - Heartbreak at Roosevelt Ranch (Roosevelt Ranch #2) by Elise Faber
Heartbreak at Roosevelt Ranch (Roosevelt Ranch #2) - Elise Faber

@faberelise, #Contemporary, #Romance, 4 out of 5 (very good)

Heartbreak at Roosevelt Ranch is the second book in the Roosevelt Ranch series, and this time we get to know more about Miss (Melissa), Kelly's sister. She is married to Rob who had recently had a promotion at work, but the cost of this appears to be their marriage.

I was a bit worried about this book before I started it. Call me sappy but I hate to read stories about a marriage gone wrong although I don't mind if they're already divorced or separated. Consider it one of my quirks! Instead, what I found was a story that had me invested from the very beginning. Yes, Miss and Rob's marriage was in danger. Yes, they BOTH had work to do to put it right. And yes, Rob did make some stupid decision's to do with his career. NEITHER of them was blameless, and it took both of them to see it and to try to work it through.

Celeste was the other woman and all I saw was a woman trying waaaay too hard. Every moment that Rob was thinking about her, he was comparing her to Miss, and Miss always came out first. Rob is married, that doesn't mean he stops seeing other women around him, or can appreciate their qualities. So long as he doesn't touch and doesn't wander, I don't see the problem. I can't remember who said it, but "I can look at the menu, honey. I just don't order anything anymore!"

There are some questions left after reading this, questions that Miss also has, so you never know, they may be answered in future books. I'm sure Miss and Rob will play a part in those, just like Justin and Kelly played a part in this one.

The pacing was smooth and the writing intricate enough to keep my interest. The characters build up from the previous book, and I loved the internal thoughts of both Miss and Rob. This was a great addition to the series, and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

Audio Review: Blocked (Gold Hockey, #1) by Elise Faber (Author), Lacy Laurel (Narrator), Gregory Salinas (Narrator)
Blocked (Gold Hockey, Book 1) - Gregory Salinas,Elise Faber,Lacy Laurel

Blocked deserves a perfect 10. Faber breaks down barriers with a great story. Brit is more than window dressing. She's all heart. Behind her tough exterior, beats the heart of a battered soul. Her demons run deep, but so does her determination. Despite life's hard knocks she finds the courage to follow her dreams and maybe, just maybe open her heart to more than the game she's dedicated her life to. Through Blocked isn't the average romance read, it definitely leaves it's mark on the heart. Faber, Salinas, Laurel and Co. make it easy to cheer for the underdog.

Release Blitz - Bad Fiance

This fake marriage never felt so real...
Bad Fiancé by Elise Faber is available now!

Sera used to believe in happily ever afters.

Well, she still believed in them. Just not for her.

For Seraphina Delgado, finding a man who loved her for who she was inside, rather than simply appreciating her outward appearance, had proved to be impossible. She wasn’t trying to be cocky—cock, ha—but she was beautiful. So beautiful, in fact, that she’d spent her childhood and tween years modeling and shooting commercials and . . . well, only being appreciated for the way she looked. And that was more curse than advantage because looks faded. People aged, wrinkles formed, boobs sagged . . . Anyway, none of that mattered because no man ever saw who she truly was on the inside.

Until Tate.

He was more interested in software than her cup size and had hired her to help him find a house. He didn’t care about her looks or her boobs, only her abilities as a real estate agent. But then he showed up in her office with a crazy proposition. One so crazy, it almost made sense. He wanted them to get married.

And Sera thought she just might agree.

Bad Fiancé (Billionaire's Club, #6)Bad Fiancé by Elise Faber
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book #6, in the Billionaire's Club series. This book should be read in order of release. It can be read on its own, but due to spoiler content - I recommend that you consider this when choosing what order to read in.

Seraphina AKA "Sera" has been hurt by her own family. She is not looking to have pain from someone she wants to spend the rest of her life with. Only the man she has fallen for seems to not notice her beyond her real estate services.

Tate has fallen for someone the moment they met. He never believed in forever, or love, but all the time they are together he cannot help the strength of what he feels for her. Sera is different from all the others. Now to win her for himself.

This series is so sexy and amazing! I think this is the best book yet. I loved the banter of all the characters. The favorites of previous stories are here as well. Going at a good steady pace, we see the heat increase until your certain the story will burn you if you touch the page.

BAD NIGHT STAND BY: ELISE FABER
Bad Night Stand - Elise Faber

This was a pretty quick paced engrossing read. There were a few dips at the beginning that had me questioning the characters, but they (mainly Jordan tbh) grew on me as the story continued and more was revealed. Funny enough, one thing I especially appreciated was how *searches for the right word...* unfulfilling/awkward/truly bad that stand was. Sometimes it's fun to be dreamily swept away by a fluff romance where everything is perfection, abs have their own set of abs, and orgasms come in the dozens every time. But sometimes I really enjoy a little more REAL and a little less fluff. I liked that Abby and Jordan took awhile to find their groove. I also found that this story felt less romance formulaic to me. Of course there were ups and downs, but it never truly fit into that pattern of when and where many do, which was nice. I think it added to the initial beginning dips, but I found I liked it more as I continued. I liked being kept on my toes not knowing what was coming next.  I look forward to reading more of this series, I hope to see some of the side characters step into the limelight, cause they were all pretty great.
