this is a sequel to primal fear. it's still entertaining, but the kind of annoying psychological stuff of the first book was more annoying this time around. maybe it's because i have a background in psychology, but i didn't love the way he dealt with it. it wasn't terrible or anything, and i didn't even bother noting it in my review of primal fear but it was slightly harder to ignore in this one. also, this didn't seem to be as well written to me as the first one. but still kept me reading.
