2018 is oficially here! 2017 was incredible for me: I finally got my own car, I went to Middle Earth (well, Switzerland but I swear it felt like Middle Earth), I met my favourite author, my boyfriend proposed to me, I left Europe for the very first time to visit the US and I met many wonderful people. Of course, I also read a lot of amazing books!
2017 was also full of sad events, but it is just how life is and I try to focus as much as possible on the good sides and I am so grateful for many things in my life.
According to Goodreads,
I completed my challenge of 60 books.
I read 83 books and 34,133 pages.
Most read author of 2017: Sarah J Maas (I re read the entire Throne of Glass series)
Favourite author I discovered this year: Brandon Sanderson
Favourite series I started/finished this year: Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
I did not completed all the challenges I planned for 2017, but pretty much (here is last year post if you are interested)! I managed to post a review for each book I read and it really is an accomplishment, I'm proud!
So, my reading plans for 2018 are as follow:
I want to read 80 books. Maybe I won't, but my 2017 challenge was too realistic and I knew I would surpassed it, so a bit more ambitious this year. However, I won't make a list of books I want to read in 2018. I already said it last year, but I really want to read just what I feel like reading, which means no TBR. I won't even make TBR at the beginning of each month because I feel like it's too much pressure. I just want to enjoy this year! Wedding requires a lot of planning and I feel like it will take a lot of my time, which is great. I want reading to be as relaxing as possible for 2018, which should always be the case :)
I hope you had a wonderful 2017 and that 2018 would be even beter. I hope you got to spend time with your loved ones, your friends and your pets of course! I wish you all the best Bookish friends, you don't know how important you can be to me, even if I don't know any of you that much. Getting the opportunity to share my bookish experiences with you is amazing. When I feel sad or lonely, I know reading your posts, reviews and comments will cheer me up. It may seem silly to non-Boolikes people, but I know you understand :)
Thanks for reading,
Line.
