Lone Wolf Dawn Book 2 of the Alpha Underground trilogy by Aimee Easterling
Lone Wolf Dawn (Alpha Underground Book 2) - Aimee Easterling

Lone Wolf Dawn Book 2 of the Alpha Underground trilogy by Aimee Easterling continues where Half Wolf stopped. I gave it four stars.

The protagonist, Fen, just found out her father had died. She's without a pack and wants a human life now.

"L is for love.
And for laughable, lost, and—ultimately—lonely.

Twelve years ago, I said the L word one last time...and was promptly tossed to the curb for my efforts. After learning that lesson the hard way, I definitely wasn’t planning to backslide into stupidity anytime soon."

Fen is upset at the pending reunion with her family. "At the moment, Hunter was right. I was more concerned about the unwanted family reunion I’d been invited to attend. “I don’t really see why I have to go,” I whined, then paused as the tone of my own voice hit my ears. I sounded like a teenager, not the world-weary twenty-one-year-old I professed to be. Still, didn’t relatives bring out the worst in all of us? 'You have to go because you’ll regret it if you don’t,' my mate answered, turning down a tree-lined lane leading to a lush and vibrant green space."

She was tense and nervous about meeting her 'one-body' mother who had abandoned her when she was nine.

I received a complimentary Kindle copy from the author. That did not change my opinion for this review.

Lone Wolf Lawman
Lone Wolf Lawman (Appaloosa Pass Ranch) - Delores Fossen

Looking for an action-packed book. Well, Lone Wolf Lawman is packed to the brim with action. You get quite a few things in this book. There a romance as well. We meet Angie and Wes.

When Addie is pulled inside her barn by someone. She starts fighting him as she thinks she is attacked or dragged. But when we find out it Weston. He has come back and he when to warn Angie that the Moonlight Strangler may be after her and want her as his next victim.

Who is Moonlight Strangler? Who wants Addie dead. There is the twist and turns throughout this page-turner. Once you get started you are pulled in.

Who is after her and Weston? Delores Fossen plot is great, She tells the story like no other romance to a point that it has action throughout the story plot. There a surprise that Addie tells Weston?

This brings in the sheriff and Addie family and you will find that there are more surprises and twisted along the way. You will not be disappointed and you will be surprised at how it ends.

LONE WOLF by Jodi Picoult
Lone Wolf - Jodi Picoult

Jodi Picoult is an excellent writer but I always hesitate to pick up her books because her subjects are so weighty yet timely.  Lone Wolf is the same.  It deals with euthanasia.  Not a pretty subject, but one that will touch most people at some point.  I liked the story.  I liked how it was written from each character's point-of-view so you get a well-rounded view of Luke.  I especially liked Luke's sections as he talks about wolves and their packs.  I learned a lot.

The characters were well developed.  I had strong feelings about some of them.  I could understand Luke well.  Cara, I just wanted to turn her over my knee and paddle her.  She was so bratty.  She was my least favorite character.  I liked Edward.  Yes, he had to grow up more but he did manage to create a life for himself and survive.  I liked also the input of some of the peripheral characters.  It was interesting to see what outsiders thought of Cara, Edward, and Luke.

This was a good book.  It flowed well.  It read quickly because I never got bogged down in one character's emotions because of the changing points-of-view.  I read it in one day basically.  I could not put it down.

Lone Wolf
Lone Wolf - Mina Carter Lone Wolf - Mina Carter ~ARC was given by the author~

I like the beginning. However, at some point, the story become too fast.

I understood the mating heat, up to the point of putting shackles, then the intense sex scene. But after that? It was like it took a 360 degree and I lost track of the plot.

How did Cade become a lone wolf? What is his story? How about Penny? Why is her alpha looking for her? The essence of the story that I was looking for was not there.

I love the ending. It was one of those lycan moments that every male lycan needs to do.

~ Even if it lack the things that I look for a PNR book, I still liked it. Wish there was enough info on the whys.

Great Book
Lone Wolf (An F.B.I. K-9 Novel) - Sara Driscoll

When a madman goes on a bombing spree, an FBI K-9 team of one woman and her dog is the key to stopping him before more innocents die and panic sweeps the Eastern seaboard.

Meg Jennings and her Labrador, Hawk, are one of the FBI’s top K-9 teams certified for tracking and search and rescue. When a bomb rips apart a government building on the National Mall in Washington D.C., it will take all the team’s skill to locate and save the workers and children buried beneath the rubble.

More victims die and fear rises as the unseen bomber continues his reign of terror, striking additional targets, ruthlessly bent on pursuing a personal agenda of retribution. Meg and Hawk join the task force dedicated to following the trail of death and destruction to stop the killer. But when the attacks spiral wide and no single location seems safe any longer, it will come down to a battle of wits and survival skills between Meg, Hawk, and the bomber they’re tracking. Can they stop him before he brings the nation to the brink of chaos

What did I think:
five stars
OMG this was a hole lot better then I thought it was going to be, loved how though out the book at the top of the pages you get worlds that have to do with the K 9 search and rescue and their meanings, love the dynamic relationship that Meg and Hawk though out the story, as well as the other characters , loved seen how the K 9 search and rescue worked and what type of jobs they're called into do ,no matter how hard it'll be for them and their dogs, day in and day out, and that they also need the thinks they get but sometime don't, plus I loved the backed story that was between Hawk and Meg ( which is something I can relate to, no only because Hawk is a black Lab , and two of my dogs are part black lab but about how sick he was when they first met, the story is some what like how we got our oldest dog Mia , who was just a puppy when my sister brought her home back in 2011, someone was giving away her and her brothers and sisters , so glad that my sister brought her home, because we found out that night when we took her to the emergency vet clinic that she was dehydrated and had five different type of worms, kind of like Hawk) , other thing I loved is how Meg and her sister and their family took dogs in and give them a home, which is another thing I can relate to, since though out my childhood I grew up with dogs wither we took them in because someone dropped them or we adopted them, just like Meg dogs have always been a part of my life and will always be so, and the biggest thing I loved about this story was where it took place in West Virginia which is my home state , because there just doesn't seem to be a lot of books that are either about it or takes place in it. So if you loved animals , and love to read about the K 9 search and rescue then this is one you have to pick up, really great characters, the story pulls at your heart and soul, once you start to read it you just can't put it down , it grabs you and pulls you in to it and has you hooked so much so that you have to see what happens next, with that said I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion and review and that these are 100 % my own thoughts to what is truly a great book
