Inspector Hobbes and the Bones by Wilkie Martin
Inspector Hobbes and the Bones: Cozy Mystery Comedy Crime Fantasy (unhuman) (Volume 4) - Wilkie Martin

Inspector Hobbes and the Bones by Wilkie Martin is an intriguing cozy mystery with comedic overtones.

Because of a tree falling on his apartment, Andy Caplet needs to move back in with Inspector Hobbes and Mrs. Goodfellow. His wife as gone on an archaeological dig. In her absence, Andy goes on many adventures with Dregs and Inspector Hobbes. I gave it five stars because it made me laugh out loud on several occasions.

I received a complimentary Kindle copy from The Witcherley Book Company and NetGalley. That did not change my opinion for this review.

Bigfoot Blues (An Elvis Sightings Mystery) by Ricardo Sanchez
Bigfoot Blues - Ricardo Sanchez

Bigfoot Blues (An Elvis Sightings Mystery) by Ricardo Sanchez is hilarious. It was a laugh out loud book that was entertaining and read in one sitting.

Floyd, the private investigator is back as an Elvis lifestyle emulator, not an impersonator. He leaves behind his bearded girlfriend, Wanda, but she's never out of mind. In this book his rhinestone jumpsuits take abuse, some never to recover.

Sadly, it needs editing for typos and homonyms. Because of this, I gave it four stars. That does not reflect on the quality of the author's writing.

Goliath, the dwarf, is his sidekick and they get into some scrapes while they look for Sasquatch aka bigfoot, a missing piece of crypto-taxidermy 'art' aka swamp dog and interactions with a chupacabra.

They meet the members of the Brides of Bigfoot aka BOB support group.

I received a complimentary kindle copy from Carina Press and NetGalley. That did not change my opinion for this review.

Biting Holiday Honeymoons (Biting Love Short Bites Book 1) by Mary Hughes
Biting Holiday Honeymoons - Mary Hughes

Biting Holiday Honeymoons (Biting Love Short Bites Book 1) by Mary Hughes has two short stories.

Biting Halloween is about Elena and Bo's honeymoon being interrupted by vampires. I gave it four stars.

"Then he turned and saw me. Our eyes met.

"An ice-cold shiver ran down my neck. Dracula's ruby eyes were dead. Not blank but ghastly, as if the imps of hell danced in his brain. This guy could kill me like I'd kill a mosquito. No, not even with that much emotion. He'd kill me like he'd pull the wings off a fly.

"Death walked skeletal fingers down my spine. I didn't scare easily but at that I slid off Bo's back and ran away."

Biting Christmas turns nasty when a vamp Santa turns up. It derails another honeymoon. Written with humor and heat. I'm glad it had a glossary for Nixie's slang.

I received a complimentary copy from Amazon. That did not change my opinion for this review.

A Robot in the Garden by Deborah Install
A Robot In The Garden - Deborah Install

A Robot in the Garden by Deborah Install is a delightful book. I gave it five stars. I was pleasantly surprised that it was a fast book to read. I wanted to know what would happen with Ben & Acrid Tang.

Tang was child-like & I fell in love with him & his go-to gesture of picking at his gaffer tape holding his front flap together. He & Ben were growing up together. Ben was healing from his grief.

I received a complimentary copy from Sourcebooks Inc. & NetGalley. That did not change my opinion for this review.
