___________________________________________

This is a mostly anecdotal collection of stories and myths about giants from prehistory to more recent times, categorized in terms of region.  There is no attempt at analysis or investigating if the "giants" described in the stories or ancient carvings are actual giants, normal people with medical conditions, or simply over-exaggerated tales that grew with the telling.  All of the giant bone discoveries mentioned in this book have mysteriously disappeared.  The author claims a conspiracy, which may well be true, but this book doesn't help with any details or furthering of knowledge.  This is a short book that brings nothing new to the table.

This book is an extremely superficial collection of chapters about individial oddball topics - everything from pyramids in China to unexpla artifacts/buildings in the America's, Templar mysteries, today's megalith builders, remote viewing, power places, a random collection of interesting personalities, alteres mental states, interviews with unusual people and strange natural occurences.  This book is not nearly so well written as other books that I have read by Frank Joseph.  The topics are not covered well enough to provide anything other than a few tantilizing glimpses of mystery.  There is also a lack of rigorous research.  In several cases we only have the author's interview with the subject to go on.  Several of the subjects covered in this book are familiar to me, but I did find found some topics (usually the longer chapters) interesting.

If you are new to this sort of subject or just wish to read something in chapter size pieces, then this book may be of interest to you.  If, on the other hand, you are familiar with the mysteries of antiquity and some unexplained mysteries, you might not find any meat in this book.

The Hollow Earth Enigma by Alec MacLellan
The Hollow Earth Enigma - Alec MacLellan

This is an interesting and well written book that explores the belief that the Earth is hollow and may be inhabited.  This book discusses things such as legends and writings from the earliest civilizations, the aurora borealis, UFOs, giants, fairies, subterranean entrances at the poles, the possible structure of other planets and other phenomenon - not to mention, the idea that the earth's interior is solid is only a hypothesis that has not been definitively proven.  The book is a bit dated and would benefit from newer information.
