Review: A Dream of Lilies: A Novella By Petra March
A Dream of Lilies: A Novella (A Touch of Cinnamon Book 3) - Petra March

Blurb
Nicholas Baudin lives in Toulouse, France, where he owns a small coffee place, Le Petit Café. His life is apparently tranquil, and made of small joys and simple habits. In truth, though, this young man's soul is troubled with memories of a painful event.

Then, on a bright spring day, Nicholas meets a strange, enchanting young woman with white hair, and pale blue eyes. Her name is Lily Brightwell. She is an actress who captivates crowds with her talent and her stories.

As Nicholas begins to fall for the young artist, his life turns into something unexpected and lovely.

I loved this short and sweet romantic story. This is Lily's story. The tragedy of the past has been following her every where, there is no escaping the hurt, the betrayal, and the horror of everything that happened. David was gone and she was unable to forgive or forget.

Nicholas has his own demons but when he meets beautiful actress Lily he feels hope. Hope that he had lost three years ago. She is perfect and he is falling in love. Although he is too scared to do anything about it at least not without a little encouragement. He feels that she like him too but what if he were wrong?

For Lily taking another chance at love is too much. If she let Nicholas into her heart who knows what he will do it. After all David broke it into pieces so it's difficult to try love again....

Soon they both realise that they are connected by more than their mutual attraction to each other. For better or worse their pasts are intertwined with each other. In order to move past the tragedy they share they must re-visit it ....

A beautifully written story, I enjoyed reading it a lot. Although I think it might be read as stand alone but knowing the previous history of the characters will make reading experience much better. So I recommend reading first two books before you read this one. But you can give it a try in any case. Petra March has a unique writing style which never disappoints me. :)

Trailer Talk | Insurgent

Clearly I am not Dauntless, because I am a little late with jumping on the Insurgent train.

I just saw the final trailer today, and I am wary of how the movie is going to play out. I enjoyed the Divergent movie. It could have been better, and it could have been worse. Since it is one of my favorite books, I was very critical of the film, and it did not live up to my expectations.

So, I am hoping that Insurgent can make up for that.

Come discuss your predictions for the movie!
