Bonfire – Sie gehörte nie dazu - 3.5 stars
Ms. Marvel, Vol. 5: Super Famous - 5 stars
Moxie. Zeit, zurückzuschlagen - 5 stars
Clean - 5 stars

Favorite book(s) of the month: Moxie, Clean, and Ms. Marvel (always)

Books started this month but haven't finished yet: Harry Potter, Flugangst 7A, Ghachar Ghochar, Power Woman

Theme of the month, starting ALL the books, finishing only half of them.
My wrap ups this year are mostly me crying about how little I'm reading. I don't like it. On the other hand, if I would make a tv show wrap up with all the episodes I have watched, we would all see, why I only finish three or four books a month. UGH.

Super Famous!!!
Ms. Marvel, Vol. 5: Super Famous - Nico Leon,G. Willow Wilson,Cliff Chiang,Takeshi Miyazawa,Adrian Alphona

More like Super Overwhelmed, or Super Overworked!!!

Most of the time in the Volume, I just wanted to take Kamala out of the story and just hug her, give her a nice cup of tea and wrap her up in a blanket, cause there was just so much going on for her.

She's just my favorite. I love her whole story so darn much. She's amazing, she's real. She's everything.

Aside from Kamala, I seriously loved Mike in this Volume. She kinda came out of the blue (look what I did there, cause she has blue hair and...it's not funny, if you have to explain it, Nicole.) I need more Kamala and Mike scenes in coming Volumes. I also loved the weird little friendship between Zoe and Nakia that we saw a little bit from in the background.

Ms. Marvel Vol. 5: Super Famous (Ms. Marvel
Ms. Marvel Vol. 5: Super Famous (Ms. Mar... Ms. Marvel Vol. 5: Super Famous (Ms. Marvel - G. Willow Wilson,Takeshi Miyazawa,Adrian Alphona,Nico Leon,Cliff Chiang Volume five begins a new set of Ms. Marvel storylines where she's pretty well established and even became an Avenger along the way. It actually has two stories told in sets of three issues, beginning several months after the events of Volume Four. The first one is about her fame being used without her permission. I love that it talks about gentrification of neighborhoods and her use of the word "colonize" instead when fighting back against the corporation coming in. Still, winning doesn't quite solve her problems here and I also thought that was a great touch. Sometimes winning doesn't feel like winning.

The second set is a story about having too many things that you want to do to fit into a day for too many days in a row. What's a superhero to do? Also, I love her interaction with Iron Man and Captain Marvel at the end. Again, her family is great in these issues. I love the way they react to just about everything.

Review: Ms. Marvel Vol 5
Ms. Marvel, Vol. 5: Super Famous - Nico Leon,G. Willow Wilson,Cliff Chiang,Takeshi Miyazawa,Adrian Alphona

Probably my favorite Ms. Marvel installment so far.

Kamala is just such a great character. Watching her screw things up is hard, and wow does she screw some things up in these issues. Not by not trying hard enough, but by taking on too much and not wanting to ask for help. Her desire to prove herself while burning the candle at both ends is just so familiar. There is no work, school, life balance when you give 110% to each of them.

Great series!
