NaNoWriMo 2016 Recap

It was a month of a nagging migraine, way too much coffee, and not enough sleep.  But somehow I ended up with a decent word count and a much needed dent in my current work in progress.

Now if even 2,000 of those caffeine-fueled scribbles make it into a final draft I'll count this year's attempt as a big win.

I hope all of this year's participants had as much frenetic fun as I had and that I'll see everyone at the starting gate again in 2017.

NanoWriMo: Day 30 Update 3

I won! Final word count 50,051! Yea! What a tough month, but so worth it. Right, give me some books. I've missed reading so much.

Writing my last 1000 words and this feels very appropriate.

NanoWriMo: Day 30 Update 1

I got up early to finish this thing. I can't tell you how excited I am to say that! Yesterday I wrote 5067 words! I've only ever managed around 4,000 at best before. It's great to know that when I need to produce I can.

I got up early this morning and have already written 500 words. I only have to write 1896 more and I'm done! Yea!

I don't even care how annoying I'm being congratulating myself. I hardly ever reach my goals, so I'm going to go on about this one for months! Be warned, I'm going to get very annoying.

NaNoWriMo: Day 29 Update 2

Just a quick update. I just hit 46,000 words. I've written 3,453 words so far today, my personal best. Yea! I'm having a quick break to wolf down some dinner then I'm going to write some more. Hopefully I can write another 2000-3000 words tonight so I don't have too much to do tomorrow. More caffeine, please!  I've started hitting problems with my novel so it's all fun and games over at camp Hol. Grrr! I started out with a detailed plan, but somewhere along the way it all went to hell. Regardless, even if I write some utterly crap prose, I can still make it. I think I'll be using the delete key quite a bit over the coming weeks when I finally get back to my manuscript after taking a llooonnngggg break. Thanks again for all the support, it's made such a difference.
