5-Minute Disney*Pixar Stories (5-Minute ... 5-Minute Disney*Pixar Stories (5-Minute Stories) - Disney Book Group,Disney Storybook Art Team

A very cute collection of stories. There are stories with a variety of Disney Pixar characters (Monsters, Inc., A Bug's Life, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Wall-E, Up) and two stories each for some of the more popular ones (Cars, Toy Story, Finding Nemo). The stories were well-done and I loved the illustrations. I especially liked the stories which speculated what minor characters where doing in the movie when the main character had their big moments, such as what the other cars were doing when Lightning McQueen was heading off to the big race or the story of Wall-E from the reject-bots' perspective. There were also many new stories that took place after the movie plot. I really enjoyed this collection of stories, especially since the majority of them were written and adapted by women. It is awesome to see so many women included in the process. Only one critique was that they used the wrong pronouns for Buttercup in the second Toy Story book. They assumed he was a she (probably because he is a fabulous unicorn). It is a tiny, tiny thing, but I like to think the people who wrote the stories like/know about the characters they are writing. Either it was just a typo or the creator of the story has been severely misinformed about Buttercup. Overall, a really good collection of Disney Pixar stories.

Pixar Manga: Finding Nemo
Disney Pixar Finding Nemo Manga--Special Collector's Edition (Pixar Manga Collection) - Ryuichi Hoshino

The Finding Nemo Manga, as others in the PopTokyo series, follows the story of the movie quite strict, so it is more of a re-watch than an addition to the movie. For me, it was a nice way to brush up Finding Nemo in time for Finding Dory, the sequel.

At the start there is some extra information on the different characters, but otherwise, expect the movie is manga-form, the art style also resembles that of the movie.

Nice for fans of Finding Nemo and Pixar!

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Disney Pixar's Brave
Disney Pixar's Brave - Alessandro Ferrari Audiobook, narrated by Lucy Rayner

Take a heroic journey with Merida, a skilled archer and headstrong daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor. Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the unruly and uproarious lords of the land. When Merida's actions inadvertently unleash chaos in the kingdom, she must harness all of her skills and resources -- including her clever and mischievous triplet brothers -- to undo a beastly curse before it's too late, and discover the meaning of true bravery.

This was a very fun story to listen to and made all the better by Lucy Rayner's narration which was fabulous. The "Highland" Brogue was great and she pulled off all the different characters so well. I found myself taking the long way home just so I could listen longer.
