Deep within the throes of NaNoWrimo (and to think this is only week 1) I ask for your help. For some crazy reason I've decided to write a fantasy novel and have realized very early on that I haven't read as many fantasy novels as I'd like.

Besides J. R.R. Tolkien and George R.R. Martin, what are your favorite fantasy reads?

If you’re recommending a series, please let it be one that is already fully published or one that doesn’t have 20+ volumes cause I don’t think my attention span can take it. Stand-alones would be perfection. YA and Romance are welcomed.
