Review: The Right Side of Wrong by: Prescott Lane
The Right Side of Wrong - Prescott Lane

The Right Side of Wrong by Prescott Lane

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lane takes the term heartbreaker to heart. Paige and Slade bleed the heart dry with their haunting, emotional story of hope and sacrifice. The Right Side of Wrong is a courageous journey of heartache and healing that stays on the mind and upends the heart.

Ryder (Merrick Brothers, #2) by Prescott Lane
Ryder (A Merrick Brothers #2) - Prescott Lane

Ryder by Prescott Lane

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Merrick brothers are at their best when they're putting the moves on a heart. Bad boys with a sensitive side have tremendous swoon appeal. Knox got his second chance, now it's Ryder's turn. Ryder is larger than life, but it's in the vulnerable moments that he finds the man he was meant to be. When his world takes a detour onto shaky ground, love steps in to stabilize his fall. Lane has a way of knocking you off your feet. She puts her best heart forward and captures yours in the process.

The Secrets We Kept
The Secrets We Kept - Lara Prescott

DNF @ 20%.

I am not impressed.

The women characters are pretty vapid apart from Olga, Pasternak's muse. However, even she is so far only defined by her relationship with Pasternak.

I don't know why, but I'm really noticing how this book would fail the Bechdel test in every scene so far.

Also, I'm not interested in the writing style. It's aggravatingly a lot like chick-lit and I also have issues with other aspects of the tone.

Library find...
The Secrets We Kept - Lara Prescott

I came across this one as an audiobook on my library's BorrowBox and am intrigued enough to give it a go.

It will probably be my "work from home companion" next week.

Just Love by Prescott Lane
Just Love - Prescott Lane

Prescott Lane has become a favorite of mine. She has a way of dragging me heart over head in love. Ainsley and Rhett are a heartache in waiting. Their emotions are a frustrating mix of breathless, heartbreaking and unpredictable. Just Love is romance at it's best and heartache at it's worst. From ugly cry to winning smile and captivating storytelling. A heart can only take so much, but Lane makes the painful moments a worthwhile journey.
