As readers, we all have our favourite romance tropes. I like second chances, Beauty and the Beast stories and have a bit of a thing for wounded heroes -- which reminds me as I type of a friend's awesome Dear Author review for her Xmas novella, Starting from Scratch. So happy for Stacy!

But as an author, romance tropes are the raw material not only for how we plot our story, but how we "sell" it to publishers. On some of their lines, Entangled Publishing actually asks for books to have 3 tropes. So we have to be able to identify them.
