I genuinely don't understand what the author wanted to achieve with this book. Large parts were just basic facts about the case: where the victims were found, who found them, details from the autopsy, witness-statements and so on. This part is quite well done and if you are unfamiliar with the details of the Ripper-murders this book does gives quite a good overview.

This manuscript unquestionably represents the strongest and most comprehensive book ever written on the Subject of Jack the Ripper.

&

To conclude may I state that I believe that I know more about this subject than anyone alive, and assure you that all the reported facts are accurate and correct.

Good thing that all Ripperologists tend to be so cautios and not at all full of themselves.

I opened the book and somebody had glued that on one of the first pages. As Wikipedia tells me Talamasca is a fictional secret society from Anne Rice Books.

OK.
