Well, this one is slow going. A good part of the problem is Weir's narrative structure; she alternates between the narration of Kate Plantagenet, in the 1480s, and Lady Catherine Grey, in the mid-Tudor period. Just when I'm getting into the flow of the one, she switches to the other.
Secondly, I wanted a novel about Lady Catherine Gray, and got "Richard III did a bad, bad thing" taking up half the time - we get it, you hate Dicky III. (I'm not a Ricardian, but I've just heard entirely too much about him for a while. Someone change the subject, please.)
And now ghosts have shown up.
I am *this* close to bailing.
