REVIEW

Riley and Jack are finally enjoying married life or are they?
Riley has to face many demons in this story. Of which his psycho brother and his father or the man who raised him.
FBI and long lost loves also play into this story.
And someone who will play a large part in these men's lives.
This was another strong story.

I read this book via Kindle Unlimited.

Texas Winter (Texas Series Book 2) by RJ Scott Free!
Texas Winter - RJ Scott

Riley’s past comes back to haunt him both professionally and personally.

His dead brother left more than just bitter memories for Riley to deal with. The FBI get involved and suddenly it is more than his good name that is on the line. Jack is always there for him but how much more can Riley’s husband reasonably be able to understand?

Especially when Riley finds out on his delayed honeymoon that he has an eight year old daughter he never knew existed...

Texas Winter (Texas #2) by R.J. Scott
Texas Winter - RJ Scott
Texas Winter is the second book in the series, and we see a return to Jack and Riley, which is never a bad thing in my book! Riley's past bites him as he learns that he has an eight-year-old child from a relationship he had in college. This is a lot to get his head around, especially with the cryptic messages that he gets from Hayley's great-aunt, and also from Lexie in a letter. On top of this, he has the FBI breathing down his neck regarding dodgy deals that Jeff set up, but with Riley's signature.

For saying that such a lot goes on in this book, it actually felt more like a novella, than a full length book. Jack and Riley are as fantastic as always. I love their connection, and the way they make their house a home. Floundering as every parent does, I nevertheless appreciated how they tried to make it as simple as possible for Hayley!

Excellently written as always, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt my reading flow, this is a wonderful addition to the series, and I look forward to continuing with their stories.

* I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review.*

Texas Winter
Texas Winter - RJ Scott This one was better than the first book definitely less soap opera material but for my taste it still has a little bit of too much
