Jake Becker is back in the spotlight with this final novella in the Legal Briefs series. Tying things up for our favorite characters in her own unique and lovely way, Emma Chase gave us one more chance to laugh and sigh along with Jake and company.

While I adored all of the characters in the Legal Briefs series, Jake and Chelsea’s romance (book #2 Sustained) was one that really tugged on my heartstrings. I mean, six orphaned children. How much more dramatic can you get? And this short story reminded me why I fell head-over-heels for Jake, Chelsea and her nieces and nephews in the first place.

The Story:

This book was soooo good! I laughed, I cried, I was jealous of the good good lovin. Jake is an ass, however he is not unforgivably so. He can learn, he does learn. To love and to care for Chelsea and her nieces and nephews. Of course he must make a mess of everything first.

I was in love with this story from the moment Jake realized Rory had stolen his wallet. Jake was right there was something special about that little boy. About the whole family in fact. I love that the story still includes Sofia, Stanton, Brent and Presley.

I want to be able to write clearly and concisely how much I loved this book but all I can do is fangirl gush. So I’ll leave you with if you want to read a story with some heart. With trials and tribulations, with happiness and joy, with heartbreak and fierce love this is the book for you.
