The List Thingy: TBR Week 35
The Shadow Master - Craig Cormick
The Chocolate Touch - Laura Florand
Doing It for Love - Cassie Mae
Court of Fives - Kate Elliott

I couldn't make up my mind yesterday evening on what I wanted to read... so I only got around to doing my list this morning.

Here we go:

The Shadow Master - Craig Cormick  - gonna finish it this week, hopefully

The Chocolate Touch - Laura Florand  - my kindle-unlimited read. I shall audiobook it...

Doing It for Love - Cassie Mae  - ARC of the week

Court of Fives - Kate Elliott  - I am looking forward to Elliott's new series!! One of my most anticipated released in 2015 *wish me luck!*

To be honest I think I am being quite brave to try to read all of them this week- as I am ridiculously busy. But I think I'll manage an hour here and there during the week, and then there is the reading time while hanging on airports ect - so doable :D

What are you planning to read this week?

The List Thingy: Shelved Week 34
Mia and the Bad Boy (Entangled Crush) (Backstage Pass) - Lisa Burstein
The Veil - Chloe Neill
Has to Be Love - Jolene Perry
Ten Things Sloane Hates About Tru - Tera Lynn Childs
Finding Perfect - Kendra C. Highley
Better When He's Brave: A Welcome to the Point Novel - Jay Crownover
A Good Debutante's Guide to Ruin - Sophie Jordan

I nearly read all the books I set out to this week. Except I am not done withThe Shadow Master - Craig Cormick yet. The reason simply: I haven't had the time for just reading, just drowning in a book..that's what the Shadow Master needs in my opinion. It is well written, but it's very detailed when it comes to world building and plot, it has multiple POVs and though there is a lot happening it's also kinda slow build. I am 36% in, and still trying to find my footing. Nothing wrong with all of that, except I want to enjoy the genius little detail and really be able to concentrate on it. Hence I have kept pushing it aside. I will try and find some time this coming week. But work, personal life and travel plans might get in the way... We'll see.

Still I read all of the other books I planned and a few more

Mia and the Bad Boy (Entangled Crush) (Backstage Pass) - Lisa Burstein

A cute & fluffy that's worth reading. It's smashing if you like Boybands. 3 Stars

The Veil: A Devil's Isle Novel - Chloe Neill

I loved the world building, but am not so sure how I feel about Liam and Claire...3.5 Stars

Full review to follow

Has to Be Love - Jolene Perry

So I am not sure how to rate this
I was for more than 80% of the book annoyed by Clara.
And then I felt for her and I am not sure how I feel about the end.
I would have dnfed this if it wasn't an arc... But I am so glad I finished it.

Ten Things Sloane Hates About Tru - Tera Lynn Childs

Super cute, quirky and surprisingly different! A must read for this autumn! My favorite read this week

4.5 Shining stars and a full review in the week

Finding Perfect - Kendra C. Highley

Finding Perfect is the perfect cute & fluffy. It's an easy read, with lots of feels and loads and loads of cutness.  4 Stars Full review to follow...

Better When He's Brave: A Welcome to the Point Novel - Jay Crownover
I found it really hard to get into this one.Somehow it didn't work for me.. Am not even quite sure why. It's well written as one would expect- but somehow it felt preachy? Again I can't explain why.
I really struggled through the first half... The second half kept getting better.. And in the end I was much happier with this than halfway through 2.5 Stars

A Good Debutante's Guide to Ruin - Sophie Jordan  Just what I felt like.
A fun cute historical with lots of feels and plenty of sizzle 4Stars

I got quite a few reviews to write after this week, which I shall try get done in the coming week.

Right now I am off to decided what's on my TBR for Week 35 :D

What was your favorite book this week?

Happy Sunday everyone!

xo

So I had the brilliant idea to start listing books that I am planning to read around 10days ago.

I had made a list of 6 ARCs and new releases that I was planning to read.

And I actually found it really helpful- and well decided to write a weekly list.

The books above are what I am planning to read in the coming week. Some have been on my TBR for yonks, some are newer releases and then there is an ARC as well.

Oh and there is a Crush novel as well. *winks* Obsessions shall be indulged after all.

Being a sucker for lists - well writing them- and finding it kinda helpful and even therapeutic I decided to write these every Sunday night or Monday morning. I think it would also make sense to do a recap of what I actually read, which I shall do every Sunday. You can find my post about the last ten days here -und the the title : The List Thingy: Shelved Week 33

The List Thingy : Shelved W33
Playing with Fire (Hot In Chicago series Book 2) - Kate Meader
His Pretend Girl (An Emerald City Novella) - Sofia Grey
Seduction's Kiss (The Allure Chronicles) - Alyssa Rose Ivy
Here All Along (The Kelly Brothers Book 7) - Crista McHugh
Joni, Underway - Jonathan Harrow,Kelly Oram
Center Ice (Entangled Crush) (Corrigan Falls Raiders) - Cate Cameron
Magic Shifts - Ilona Andrews
Aimee and the Heartthrob (Entangled Crush) (Backstage Pass) - Ophelia London
A History of Glitter and Blood - Hannah Moskowitz
The Undying Legion: Crown & Key - Clay and Susan Griffith

I did damn well in my opinion considering that I read all of the books I had planned to read.

And some..

This is my read- list for the last ten days. I had planned to read 6 of them, and just finished the last one on me TBR list.

I am in the middle of making a new list. But thought I would make sense to post what I read, with a short comment on each book.

Apparently I like doing lists and accounts on books... well I do like lists of anything really, I am that much of a nerd apparently, which still surprises me. I was supposed to be the rebel, you know. Guess my undercover geek might not be as undercover as I hoped.

Back to my shelved list

  •   Joni, Underway - Jonathan Harrow,Kelly Oram
  • This is the absolute favourite of the bunch. In fact it's on my favourites of all times list. Joni, Underway resonated with something deep within me. Incredibly beautiful book. 4.5Stars

Playing with Fire (Hot In Chicago series Book 2) - Kate Meader

Sizzling and cute romance about the hottest men in town and the fiercest firefighter, ever.

His Pretend Girl (An Emerald City Novella) - Sofia Grey

I stumbled over this on kindleunlimted. It's quite well written, but the storyline is more or less a string of cliches. 2.5Stars

Seduction's Kiss (The Allure Chronicles) - Alyssa Rose Ivy

I liked the world building, the character building is done quite well in this short span but I felt like this might be too much of the usual PNR dramas. So I am not sure if I will read more of the series. 3Stars

Here All Along (The Kelly Brothers Book 7) - Crista McHugh

A wonderful end to a great series. Story of besties becoming more. McHugh absolutely shines with the character building.I just wish there would be more to come in the series! 4Stars

Center Ice (Entangled Crush) (Corrigan Falls Raiders) - Cate Cameron

I am not sure how or why, but I am kinda hooked by Entangled Crush. The first book in the Corrigan Falls Raiders series gave me exactly what I expected. A cute and fluffy fix. Though there were bits that dug deeper, I wish that somehow there would have been more of that. It's rather predictable but a fun read. 3.5Stars

Magic Shifts (Kate Daniels) - Ilona Andrews

Well written as always. But sadly the action scenes did overshadow every other aspect of this book.

I listened to the audio of this and in my opinion Renee Raudman can't do any wrong. It's the best way to enjoy an Ilona Andrews novel, seriously. Except for a tad little problem, there was no whispersync available for this instalment. Besides the fact, that I do get a discount on buying both the ebook and the audiobook with that feature, I love it for that fact that I can switch between the audio and ebook seamlessly. Since I didn't get that option I decided to only get the audiobook, which meant it took me several days to finish this.

Find my full review here

Aimee and the Heartthrob (Entangled Crush) (Backstage Pass) - Ophelia London

Cute and all, but also a lot of been there done that. Very well written mind you! I already got the next book in the series.. so my Entangled Crush obsession's still going strong.

3.5 Stars

A History of Glitter and Blood - Hannah Moskowitz

This is a book one is either going to love to bits or not. I wish I would be in the former group, because I think it's quite clever. But I really struggled through this one, mainly because I didn't like the writing style at all. Sadly just not for me. 1.5 Stars

The Undying Legion: Crown & Key - Clay and Susan Griffith

Extremely well written: Great action, good character building & fab steampunk gadgets but it does sadly have second book syndrome. It did build up my expectations for the next book and I shall be reading it very soon. 3.5Stars

I shall post my TBR for the coming week this evening..

And that's it for my mememe this week.

Any books you read this week that you feel are the bomb?
