The Witch of Painted Sorrows by M.J. Rose
The Witch of Painted Sorrows - M.J. Rose
M.J. Rose delivers an outstanding tale of lust, love, and possession. Set in Belle Epoque Paris, if you're a fan of art, you'll love this colorful story.

A beautiful American escapes to Paris, returning to her beloved grandmother's home, only to find the family home closed for repairs. Sandrine seeks shelter with her grandmother, who is nothing like my granny. Sandrine's grandmother is a famous courtesan and hides a very dark family secret from her young granddaughter, if only to keep the girl safe. Longing to return to a place that holds memories of her deceased father, Sandrine sneaks back to Chateau la Lune without Madame Verlaine's consent. Once inside, strange things begin to happen. The home seems to welcome Sandrine with loving arms and her dull life suddenly flourishes. Inspired by a new love and items she finds within the lavish home, Sandrine begins to paint images that seem familiar, images that begin to haunt and transform her. When the legend of La Lune is revealed, Sandrine fights to control her destiny. But is it her dreams and desires or the wishes of the witch, La Lune, returning to reclaim a lost love?

Haunting, sultry, artistic, The Witch of Painted Sorrows ended with me wanting more. Lots more.
