Not as good as Shogun but still well written and worthwhile. Also set in Japan with rich history, characters and plotting.
Like Shogun, a very enjoyable fictional account of Europeans in the Far East at a decisive time in history. I think I prefered Shogun overall, but I did very much enjoy this one too.
Great, great book. Love Clavell's writing. Will read again in the future. So very good!
