This book was surprisingly good. I mean there are a few things that I didn't like but I liked the book. I love mythology fiction and that was no different with this book. I liked reading about the Norse gods and goddesses and the various myths that are told throughout the book. I love that Baldur, t...

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Tessa Gratton's books. BLOOD MAGIC was a 5/5 read for me, whereas I couldn't even finish THE BLOOD KEEPER. The premise involving a modern day Norse Mythology infused world completed grabbed my attention, but THE LOST SUN itself struggled to maintain even...

This was a beautifully written book with an intriguing concept of a Norse-mythology-based United States, but it was just not fun to read. I didn't find the plot intriguing, I didn't find it interesting, I didn't feel any sense of urgency or excitement. The characters are nice, but to me, it didn't f...

I've given up of this book the moment a guy, Nick or whatever, said something along the lines "I hope she's not one of those freaks who cut themselves". Any book shaming on eating disorders, depression and/or self-harming issues is a big 'no' for me. Maybe it didn't stuck to many readers of this boo...

Soren is a boy with a dark secret and a desire to be accepted by his peers. He sets off on a journey to find and save Baldur the Beautiful, and find himself in the process.I loved this book! It was a great "road trip" type novel with Gods, Goddess, and teenage angst thrown in the mix. Tessa Gratton ...

I got the CD from a friend, my first attempt at Audio-Book, and I can say this one is just not for me. Now, please don't misunderstand, from the little time I listened to the Audio I can tell the writing is beautiful and the the world is interesting enough. It seems like something I'd enjoy reading....

Tessa Gratton's The Lost Sun is a beautifully written and imagined introduction to The United States of Asgard series. This tale of two teens with interwoven destinies unfolds with an insistent pull from Gratton's steady hand and, before the reader realizes what's happened, they're completely under ...

The Lost Sun came very close to being thrown into my DNF pile, but I managed to trudge through it....barely. I'm a huge fan of mythology, although I'm not as familiar with Norse legends and myths. This is a book that should have worked for me. Instead, it was a huge letdown. To put it bluntly, the...

I picked this book up sometime last year simply because I loved the premise of the second book, The Blood Keeper. I finally got around to reading Blood Magic and I'm so glad I did. This is a great premise for a series that is definitely dark and the kind of stuff that I love.Silla isn't a normal tee...
