Wow. That's all I can say. I spent the entire book wondering why this wasn't taught in schools like "Number the Stars" was when I was in elementary school. Then I got to the end. This book was so brilliant, written from the point of view of a nine year old boy. The story could be anywhere at any ...

This is one of the few books I really loathe. I know that this is fiction ,but the plot was just too implausible and historically inaccurate. Firstly, there is just no way that a 9-year old German child in the 1940s would not know what a jew is or who Hitler is! Nazi propaganda was ubiquitous at that...

Brilliant book, well written. A tip for when you're reading this book is to have a box of tissues handy.

This book is a difficult one to review. On the one hand, I believe that the book is charmingly portrayed through a child's eyes, that the concept of the book and point of view is an interesting one, that the character of Bruno is (usually) an endearing one, and that the ending is powerful. On the oth...

This book was a very unbelievable tale of the Holocaust. The ending was very stupid and unbelievable as well. I was not impressed with it.
