I loved the first half of this book, but the second half fell a little flatter. I thought Minerva was a really interesting character.

What a great new discovery! This book definitely pulled me out of my Denise Grover induced reading slump. B

This is the type of book I like best. The type that lets you slowly learn about the characters and their motivations. But, these are also the type of books that are impossible for me to review. I always feel like I'm cheating someone of discovering things for themselves. So I'll try not to. Mi...

This will be short since I can't really say much about why I did not enjoy it as much as I could. The story line was good and realistic. Then it started to meander and got a bit slower, and we get some manufactured drama between Robert and Minnie that felt a bit false for them, but I didn't mind. In truth, the book could have - maybe sh...

I've been in a bit of a dissatisfied mood with nearly every new book I've picked up lately, but Courtney Milan has never disappointed me. I realized I had one of her books in my review pile and eagerly dove into the Brothers Sinister series. I had read The Governess Affair back when it was first rel...
