This story was dedicated to George R. R. Martin who asked Flynn for a story. And she delivered a short dark thriller. Like in Gone Girl, the author attempted to throw you off with what was actually happening. My only complain was that it was too short! I read this without reading the blurb a...

When I first started reading this short story, I had no idea where it was headed. As Gillian began the novel with a detailed narrative of the character’s sensual occupation detailing why they called their clients Tony’s, I wondered exactly what type of novel Gillian Flynn had written. It seemed rath...

This is a short yet awesome book. I had no idea how it would end. It had my total attention from the first world. It starts off so blunt then leads into horror story territory.

2/3 of the book was really good and creepy, but I didn't like the last third of the book, there were just too much twist and the ending wasn't satisfying at all.

Books may be temporary. Dicks are forever."Maybe it's just the day I'm having, but this made me laugh. This sh...

I have listened to this book twice now. It is so good but I don't want to say anything because it's a short story and I think it's better to go into this one blind.

The Grownup, Gillian Flynn, author, Julia Whelan, narrator Sometimes I think I live in an alternate universe. At first, listening to this book, I believed that it was about a young woman whose former mode of employment, for a period of three years, was to provide “hand jobs” for her clients. In this...

I am officially done with Gillian Flynn. Thank goodness this was just a short story.

I was looking for a quick read today and this one delivered. I liked the narrator and the ending was not what I expected. While I tend to enjoy Flynn's longer novels more, this one was well executed, and moved more seamlessly than her shorter works in the past. A must read if you like Flynn'...
