It's difficult to classify this book. It was part spy-novel, part P.G. Wodehouse-esque humor, and part anti-weapon propaganda. Most of it was enjoyable to read. yes, hugh laurie wrote book. yes, THAT hugh laurie. i thought this book has promising start. i looove the main character. he made me laugh. but from the middle to end, i somehow lost the grip to the story.
i realized after finishing my review of the hippopotamus by stephen fry, that i'd read a novel by his best friend, and sometime partner-in-crime, hugh laurie. when i read this book i was impressed that laurie was not only a good actor, but a good writer too. thoroughly enjoyable little book.
