The Help is a moving, inspiring, beautifully written novel about three very different women and the quiet--even furtive, but ultimately effective work that they do to help the blossoming Civil Rights movement. It is set in Jackson, Mississippi in the early sixties, and consists of three alternating...

I absolutely loved this book! Not entirely fond of the ending, but the writing, and narrating (audiobook) was fabulously done! Superb!

4 - 4,5 starsI really really liked it.. The ending tho is too open! I wanna KNOW what will happen to Minny, Aibee and the other maids. But at the same time - the ending is perfect.

The Help for me was a fast read; I read it in aprox 8 to 9 hours. Once you get hooked and used t...

I loved the main characters in this story. Aibeleen and Minny's point-of-views were my favorite. I didn't particularly care for Skeeter's pov, but I understand her role in the story and why she was chosen as a narrator. Maybe it does seem frilly because it's told from a woman's point-of-view, and th...
