I loved the main characters in this story. Aibeleen and Minny's point-of-views were my favorite. I didn't particularly care for Skeeter's pov, but I understand her role in the story and why she was chosen as a narrator. Maybe it does seem frilly because it's told from a woman's point-of-view, and th...
February 2012: I'm giving this book another chance. I'm enjoying it better this time around.2010: I didn't finish this book. It dragged too much and I didn't feel anything for the characters.
I felt like the last girl on earth still not having read this book, but I tried not to expect anything specific out of it.Nevertheless, I couldn't stop thinking how right they'd gotten the film. Besides minor plot disagreements between the two media, the spirit of each character was captured so well...
The Help by Kathryn StockettWhat I like about this book is that the ones who really take care of the estate owners and their families are the ones in the background, the colored women who do everything for them. They are not given recognition but I do love hearing how they care for the infants, not s...

I loved this story from start to finish, and I think the fantastic screen portrayals actually contributed to my enjoyment of the book.I have nothing to add t...
I loved this book. It is written in such a way, that a few chapters into reading it, I felt as if I was one of the characters. Filled with witty characters that are both easy to love and hate, and all around believable this was a great book, and would make a perfect summer read.
