The plot was pretty good. I do have one nitpick, Dominica would not have practiced Voudon [Voodoo], because she is not of Haitian descent. She would have practiced Santeria. I have only a slight knowledge of Voudon, and I don't know that much about Santeria, so I'm going to google-fu it to see if th...

So this is the 2nd time around this book, 1st review tho. I really enjoyed. Actually i loved it. I love the almost flawless smooth writing style. I love the plot, the hints of romance. I love the gory stuff, the heartache and in the end the justice.

A great second novel in this series. There's about 20 of them so I have a while to go lol. But the suspense was good, the plot was great, and of course the witty banter and dialogue are always fantastic. :)

The book started off pretty quick. A murder here, a murder there. I enjoyed it because of how Hamilton never leaves any breathing space for Anita. She just keeps on coming home wanting to go to sleep only to be dragged out of her bed by a creepy crawlie. Hamilton had some major writing juice when sh...

Why do the authors always introduce the worst and biggest of big bads in their first book(s)? It makes that much more difficult to gather and keep up the momentum later on especially when writing a long series. I'm now expecting the inevitable unravelling of the animator magic.I liked her in the Gui...

I liked this one a lot more than the first one. I think it was that I found it easier to to follow because I knew a lot of the characters from the first one. And I knew what to expect of Anita as a character. It was a bit slow at times but it got better as the mystery developed and it all came toget...
