I just couldn't really get into this. It was a bit ramble-y.

I always feel that one has to have a certain appreciation for classic literature, regardless of whether or not one actually likes it. I've been fortunate to read a lot of classic works that I have loved, and while The Time Machine may not be one of my favorite classics, it is certainly an impressive...

Even though I disagree with H.G. Wells' worldview, I admit that I admire him and his writing. He did not flinch from facing the logical conclusions of what he believed. Fast read. Attention, page turner! I gave it three stars because I admit it should have been hard to write a SF novel in 1895. Really now. He had to do a lot of imagining. Otherwise, nothing special about it. Easy read for busy times.

I'm disappointed that I couldn't get into this book.It was partly because it was rushed, and partly because of the 19th century writing. It's not the first time I've read a book from this era, but I'll definitely admit I was out of touch. As much as I enjoy the language, it makes the book more of ...
