Did you know before the United States got bogged down in the war on terror, Russian was facing a similar problem? In his article, “The US-Russian Deal on Syria: A Victory for Assad,” Shadi Hamid criticizes the US approach to dealing with Russian warfare. Obama insisted that Assad eliminate chemical weapons from his method of warfare; Hamid claims that Obama took the easy way out by changing the method of warfare rather than the extent of it.
This paper is a rhetorical analyses of the blast Hamid wrote against the United States. Miranda Tate, an undergraduate student at Brigham Young University wrote this article. She declared that, "In his article, Hamid uses vicious, brutal diction, to expose the atrocities of Russian warfare; varied syntax and short, simple declaratives, to establish a more intelligent persona; and cynical, sarcastic language to sharply point out the flaws in our foreign policies."
