I enjoyed this story of a woman who reminded me of Bones from the TV series. Abigail Lowery is a mystery and Brooks Gleason, the local chief of police is intrigued. He is part of the local community and he wants to know more about her. She has got too used to hiding, she saw a Russian mafia murd...

"You can't run forever" reads the adage inscribed on the cover. Elizabeth, or Abigail as we come to know her, is the she who is running. Who she is running from: none other than the Russian Mafia. A witness to a double-murder at 16, Elizabeth carries a testimony that the organization will go to an...

This was okay. I found it easy to turn off, not too rushed to turn it back on, but interesting enough when I was listening to it. I have to say, though, that I kept comparing it to the TV show 'Bones' (which I love). Abigail is really intelligent and super rational. So is Temperance "Bones" Brennan....

It's been awhile since I've picked anything up by la Nora, and it was clear by a couple of pages in that I was reading the work of a polished, established author. (Yet ANOTHER reason I have got to stop picking up those Kindle freebies on Amazon!)She is sticking to a formula that works for her - the ...

This was a great book. There are times when I wish Nora would write something other than romance and this is one of those times. For those of us who love her books, we take please in strong but wounded female characters and too good to be true male matches. But the other thing you can also rely on...

It was fine. I read a Nora Roberts book for simple, easy, and gentle romance...and that's what I got. There's nothing very complex and its really not very believable, but suspension of reality for an easy chick-lit story is just what I need sometimes.

Listened to 5/29, no change in rating though. Even 3 stars for narration.Full review at Tempting ReadsAgain, this story and its narration weren't bad but it wasn't the enthralling experience I had hoped for. I don't think the narrator was terrible; in fact, I'm pretty sure I will listen to her aga...

Nora Roberts can be a little hit or miss for me, but I definitely enjoyed this book. In a nutshell, the plot involves a genius heroine whose first attempt at rebelling against her overbearing mother results in her witnessing a Russian mob hit. Fast forward 12 years and said heroine now lives in sec...

This is Nora Roberts at her best, with characters you love in an instant and a plot that keeps the pages turning well past your bedtime. I adored it from beginning to end.

Wow. I normally shy away from romantic suspense but everyone kept saying how great this book is so I finally decided to try it. Wow. It's even better than I had hoped. Nora Roberts earns all her kudos and more. I loved how the dangers didn't swamp the love story. The character of Elizabeth could hav...
