Five star narration, four star book. Chilling suspense, touching romance, terrific characterizations. My main complaint is there was too much padding, especially in a subplot that wasn't all that relevant to the story and just fizzled out at the end. Also, a few of the suspenseful events were telegr...

While this book took a loooong time to get set up, even the setup part was really good. Elizabeth rebels against her robot Mom (she's not really a robot, but the lady doesn't hug, wear color, or do anything without a schedule) when she's sixteen. That's what teenagers do, and even though Liz is a ...

I thought it started off awesome. I was really excited reading about young Liz and her adventures, and i really felt for her, but then i lost some of the excitement when it got to Abigail and Brooks' part. The romance is nice, but it got too focused on what Liz felt and what Liz experienced (I think...

A really great suspense novel. The writing is smooth, dialogue sharp and witty. It is well-paced, and the suspense keeps you turning the pages for more. A lengthy read (488 pages) but hardly noticeable as you are hooked from the beginning. A very satisfying read overall.

I think there's something about reading a good book after being stuck in a reading slump (or still being stuck in it as the case may be, since I'm ignoring those books now). I just don't want the book to end even more than I usually do when reading a good book. I want to stay in that world and with ...

I generally like NR's hardback releases and this one was no exception. It was well-paced, the main characters were likable, not a whole lot annoyed me, it's set in a small town, and since NR lives in the area, my home region got a shout out. I got great amusement about them renting a hotel in Tysons...

Very intense start to this engrossing story. I especially liked the hero in his determination and steadfastness. The personality of the heroine was rather interesting. Overall a great book. Genius Elizabeth experiences a life changing event and ten years later police chief Brooks is intrigued by ...

Another guilty pleasure kind of book. Predictable, but it held my interest enough to finish it.

I loved this book! I think The Witness is one of the best books that Nora has written in a long time. I wouldn't even really call it a "Romantic suspense". There really was no suspense or who dunnit to figure out. The secret that Abigail is hiding is a no-brainer. The beginning was intense and ho...
