The Wiz within Us is perhaps the most important collection of lessons your child will receive in his or her early life. Written through the time-tested format of parables, the writing style is highly entertaining, and the stories can be funny or endearing, magical and imaginative. Each one inspires analytical thinking on making the right choices in life and adjusting behavior appropriately to achieve a happier life and more purposeful life, all important lessons that will mold and shape each child's future. This is the US version, using American English language.

"Education isn't just about learning something more, but becoming someone better." - Indira Ghandi

That is the purpose of "The Wiz within Us" - it helps each primary-age student become a better purpose by helping them learn and retain certain core values that are fundamental to life itself. Volume 1 covers five important principles in Character Education:
> Friendship
> Kindness
> Perseverance
> Thoroughness
> Equality

Each of these five lessons is presented in a set format to enable a consistent learning methodology. The structure of each lesson is as follows:
> Parable - a fictional story, written in the style of Aesop, that demonstrates, or portrays, one of life's core values.
> Core Value - the key element that is to be extracted from the story.
> Beginning the Discussion - initial statements that can be used to open the dialogue for further discussion.
> Three Main Points - the three essential lessons that are to be reinforced and remembered.
> Discussion Topics - ten topics/questions intended to stimulate discussion about the lesson and its main points in a group setting.
> Writing Topics - three writing activities that can be used for the student to demonstrated understanding of the lesson and its main points.
> Activities - various multi-sensory activities that the student can use to apply understanding of the lesson.
> Reflection Sheet - statements and questions used in an interactive session, or used for the student to ponder individually.
> Ways to Reinforce the Lesson at Home - reinforcement of any behavior is essential to its becoming natural. These are easy ways to help reinforce the main points and lessons of each story.
