A world in chaos... The war has ended, leaving behind a nation made of dust and ashes. A wounded America remains, controlled by an apathetic dictator who ignores all pleas for reconciliation with those who seek to move into a peaceful future united. Meanwhile, in the ashes of the Union, three survivors fight to overcome impossible conditions. A soldier struggles against all odds with one goal in mind: to bring his people home. Across the world, a mother and son lead another group of survivors with the same goal in mind. Time is running short, however, as the resources they need are evaporating and the situation becomes increasingly more desperate. As the Emperor sinks further into his insanity, plans are put into place that can only lead to the destruction of the human race. Alliances between former enemies are forged, families are destroyed and beliefs are tested as cities are reduced to rubble.
