I am new to Booklikes and look forward to getting involved. I have about 300 titles along with the authors but no ISBN's to go with them. I can't do an import understandably, do to the fact that I lack this field. Does anyone know of an online service (preferably free) that will match the titles up. I really don't want to have to add them manually. Thanks heaps!
300 is a lot, so I'm not sure if you want my trick. I usually search the title and author (I do this a lot with library books that I returned already) in amazon. they usually have a "product" list and it includes isbn (make sure when the book comes up you pick either ebook or paperback correctly). then I copy and paste into book likes and list read dates, etc under advance shelves. It may work for a few books at a time, but like I said, 3oo books is a lot.
Thank you for your reply. I figure there has got to be some sort of "less" labor intensive solution out there. I have emailed Amazon and am waiting to get a reply from them. Thanks for taking the time to propose your solution.
I'm guessing you do not physically still have the books? If you do, or if you still have any of the books and they have a bar code, you can download the BL app (actually, I don't know if they have an android version or not) and it has a bar code reader. That would be the absolutely fastest way to get them in your BL library.
If you purchased them all through Amazon, you can log into your account, go to the Orders section, and choose "Download Order Reports". That will give you a page where you can enter in the date range for your orders and it will give you a .csv file of all your orders. Books will have either an ISBN or an ASIN number and either will work for BL. If you clean this file up and keep 'Title' 'Author' 'ISBN13' (make sure your headers match those) you might be able to import that using BL importer. Otherwise, you might send the cleaned-up file to BL support and they can import it onto your shelves for you.
Hope that helps...

Hi, please let us know how we can help. For the time being there are several import options on BookLikes: from Goodreads (csv file), and from LibraryThing (tsv file).
You can also use the
Shelve it! option to shelve books from Amazon directly to your BookLikes bookshelf, this should be really helpful and speed up the shelve process. You may also find this post really helpful:

Thanks everyone for all your help! I decided to bite the bullet and have been entering the books manually. I have actually been making pretty good time. I really like the look, the simplicity and functionality of the site compared to Goodreads and Shelfari. I'm so glad I came across it. I have even reviewed my first book. Read on!
