First of all: Welcome!!

I noticed there are some new people and I thought that it would be nice to make a post about some of the features this site has to offer!

-Blog feature
Obviously one big plus booklikes has compared to all the other book sites out there, is the tumblr-like feel. You can so easily make a post about anything: books, photos, videos, etc.
The huge plus for me was the customization available for your personal page. You go to Settings>Blog and click on Theme: Customize. If you are comfortable with html you can really change stuff around. I am not, but I found some awesome tutorials lying around. You can find a nice list here: http://themisathena.booklikes.com/bl_formatting

Feel free to pm me if you need any help!

-Reading Lists
You can make reading lists about your next month's reads, genre lists and take a look at other people's lists too! I love making lists! :)
You can follow or shelve books on lists too!

-Bookclubs
What kind of book site would this be if there weren't any bookclubs?
There is a wide variety so be sure to check them out! This is the easiest way to find people with the same book tastes as you!

There are also widgets to use, giveaways and book events. Explore the site and I hope you like it as much as I did!

-Tips
-Make an about me page so we can get a feeling on who you are, what you like to read, etc.(To do that you go to Settings>Pages and then click on add a new page.)
-Put yourself out there: this is a truly awesome community and make sure to post your page here for others to find you!
Thank you for the warm welcome. I am currently preparing and posting a back log of reviews. Then I plan to start joining in the community.
hello
Welcome to all newcomers!

If you're interested in customising your blog pages and can't find what you need on Themis-Athena's fabulous round up of links (some of the linked posts might be missing images of screenshots), I've created a few tutorials and they can all be found via the BookLikes Tutorials link on my blog page. Some of these are rather specialist posts, as I've done them by request, but I share in case someone finds them useful.

Also, this thread might be a great place for new people to ask general questions about using BookLikes; I'm sure quite a few of us would be happy to help however we can.
