This can also be post-apocalyptic without science fiction elements, but dystopia is often listed under the Science Fiction branch.
Can I just list some cool dystopian books??? I love this genre so much and I want MORE!!!

Great ones so far:

The Administration (even though I burned out on it...I can see it's a great series)
After Midnight (love)
Evenfall (I'm waiting for the rest of ICoS to be edited....I know if I love the series, I'll want to read how they change it...and I don't want to read thousands of pages only to want to read the new version again....)
"When You Were Pixels" is a dystopian short that's turning into a series in the future (I think it's only available on Goodreads because of one of those anthologies). It's really short but I'm interested to see how it develops in the future.
I've read that...it has an interesting premise but the writing is REALLY melodramatic for no real reason that I could detect....I had a "what the heck???" moment when I saw people low-rating other books based on the purple prose but then the same people gushing over the purple prose in Pixels.

That's because of the personality cult phenomenon we've been discussing on the other thread. People have different standards when they are besties with the author.
Yeah....I had that feeling. NGL I was scared to give a blunt review. I walked into GR at the same time as the major wank over this story was going on...
The full story on that wank was a thing worthy of the "fanficwank" Livejournal community. Every dramatic plot twist from accusations of trolls, to side-taking and secret pacts, to rumors of obsession and the angsty past of the writer in question as reason why people shouldn't critique his work.
Good times.... good times.... I'd never been called a 'heinous witch' before. It was certainly an experience.
WTF?

I got a little more actively involved in that wank than I had planned to, let's put it that way.

Knight Errant is decent, but for the love of God, skip the sequel.
Yikes. >.<

What's Knight Errant about? I'm trying to add all of these books to my TBR....but I'm still in some weird GR/BL limbo and don't know where I want to be. ;_; I'm so used to the GR format and BL won't transfer my shelves. :(
You didn't read the sequel because I told you would hate it.
I'm reading Bone Rider. I haven't finished yet (Nanowrimo keeps getting in the way) but from what I've read so far I'd totally recomend it. It's m/m/m with an alien armor system that wields itself to its host's bones as the third guy, so, uh, that's interesting. It's also pretty decent science fiction all on it's own.
Great! Bone Rider is on my to-read pile and I wasn't so sure if I should read it or not. :)
I read Bone Rider last week, totally loved it.
