I like odd fiction, and I'd like some recommendations for unusual YA books.
I've read Teeth by Hannah Moskowitz, and As I Wake by Elizabeth Scott, and others I'm not remembering, but basically I'm looking for something that isn't realistic fiction, dystopia, paranormal romance, steampunk (it's just not my thing), or formulaic sci-fi.
Thanks in advance!

What's it about? I might have heard about that book...
It's ... sort of a mystery? Came out in 1979. (Showing my age; but that's when I was reading YA!)
It won a number of awards at the time, I think.
How about Alan Garner's 'The Owl Service'? It's been a rather long time since I've read it, but I remember it being both unusual and good.
