I just finished Just one year by Gayle Forman and really enjoyed it. I'm now reading The Shinning by Stephen King. It's the first time I read a S.K. book. Well I read about 100 pages of one of his book(translated in french) when I was young but didn't really liked it. I don't know if it was the book itself, the many descriptions of the translation but I didn't really enjoy it. Or maybe, I was too young. I don't know. But I'm really enjoing The Shinning so far. I can't wait to finish it so I can finally watch the movie!
Started a historical mystery, "The Mad Courtesan," yesterday. Too early to say how it's going to develop. (Setting: the London theater world, c. 1590s.)

Hate to tell you, but I had trouble with a Constellation of Vital Phenomena. Found it choppy, depressing, sad humor and did I learn anything about the Chechen Wars? Not really. So grab those other two for your book clubs first. On the other hand I know that many others have liked the book. I have wondered if the rave reviews were those that always appear when a book first comes out, to help sell a book.
I finished Spirit Animals: Wild Born by Brandon Mull which was a fun fantasy read about four teens who have gone through a vaguely shamanic ritual to summon spirit animals, and of course they're supposed to save the world.

I'm currently reading You Are Not A Gadget by Jaron Lanier, but that's actually for one of my courses. At the same time I'm reading Beltane by Christine Malec which I won on Historical Fictionistas.
I'm currently reading Great North Road by Peter F. Hamilton, and The Varieties of Scientific Experience by Carl Sagan.
Read more in "Mad Courtesan." Not much mystery so far, but plenty of political intrigue, and a clearer idea of the date (1592-3). Also a horse that counts, plays dead, etc. (How that's going to play into the rest of the plot, I have no idea.)
I´m reading two books at the moment. The first one is "Schändung", the 4th book in the "Departement Q"-Series by Jussi Adler Olsen. I can highly recommend the whole series. Carl Mørk and his team are absolutely adorable, funny and great. I just love them.
The second book I´m reading is the german translation of "The White Queen" by Philippa Gregory. Normally I do not read historical fiction, but I´m watching the TV-Show right now and since they have cancelled the show after the first season, I need to know, how the story will go on. I´ve read about 140 pages and up until now I quite like the book.
Finished The Mad Courtesan (not much mystery in it, but a lot of other stuff). Probably on to finishing The Winter King, which is a biography of Henry VII.

Without giving away anything, I want to say that I found that there is too much talking in that book. Also I found most of the interviews quite similar. The plot is good, however.
Have started "Marie Curie and Her Daughters." Interesting subject, a pity that the writing is fairly pedestrian (with occasional real clunkers), and has a weird organization.
I'm currently reading 'Republic of Thieves' by Scott Lynch, which I've been very excited about. I am trying to decide what to read next. My TBR pile is huge. I should probably read 'Moon Called,' since a friend loaned it to me, but I'm just not that excited about it.
Just got my hot hands on "The Dead in their Vaulted Arches," the 6th Flavia de Luce mystery. You may not see much of me today!
Ooh, I love that series! Lucky you!
I really enjoyed "The Dead in Their Vaulted Arches." It read too quickly!
Just finished Charmed Life (book 1 in a YA series from the '70s by Diana Wynne Jones, which was great) and now on to Allegiant by Veronica Roth.
