Too bad Jam wasn't very funny. :(
Yep, I was really expecting a laugh-out-loud novel. I sort of tweaked it, instead of J for Jokes wfor the book being humorous, I used J for Jokes because the book felt like a joke without a punchline.

Lol! I love the way you tweaked it.
the Magpie Lord, for the funny banter and the inventive swearwords

@Sockpoppet Thanks! :)
@Ilhem Ooh, that cover's got me interested.
Demons are a Ghoul's Best Friend by Victoria Laurie
Ball & Chain by Abigail Roux, there were very few pages that didn't have my laughing by the time I got done.

What did you think of the book? I've thought of reading it, but wasn't sure as I don't often like these type of humor books.
It's a tad shonky in places, the introduction for instance, and she does the old "inserts from the editor" joke too much, and some of the material is recycled from her blog, but when it's good it's properly don't-drink-anything-unless-your-sinuses-need-cleaning funny.

I wouldn't pay full price for it (but I'm mean), and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody who hasn't read her blog because she does have a particular style which is fairly sweary, but it's worth reading. I give it 3.5 stars overall.
