Big fan of Simon's Cat here, too ... (I've been known to post the odd YouTube clip on my blog as well.)
And, yes, I also remember Thomasina. Susanna, did you ever read Ngaio Marsh's
Scales of Justice -- or watch the TV adaptation? There's a cat named Thomasina that features fairly prominently in that story as well ... and I can't read one book without thinking of the other ... or hearing Thomasina being called in her owner's particular cuckoo-cooing voice in the TV episode! ("Thom-Thom-Thomasiiinaa ...!")
