Recommend books to me. They can be non-robot related, but... robots/sentient AIs/autonomous machines would be muchly appreciated! Also, robots without what people normally consider the sexy parts. (Think Robocop, more machine than man, y'know, especially where it counts.)

Not 100% of the stuff written by him, but most, yes. I love I, Robot, Robot Visions, Robot Dreams...

I haven't gotten into the mystery series because up until recently, I really haven't enjoyed any mysteries... but I do want to try them now!

I loved the Susan Calvin books. I think you will like the Black Widowers, they are lots of fun, since they are short stories you don't have a whole book to read before you reach the whodunit.

He, She and It by Marge Piercy (cyborg/andriod)
The Alchemy of Stone by Ekaterina Sedia (I haven't read yet but heard good things)
Damn, bedtime.... if I remember I'll come back tomorrow with a list of manga and more books (ETA-with more metal than human bits... really going to bed now). :D

You need to read The Caves of Steel! I think it's Asimov's best robot book. There are not enough robots in modern SF. There are some, especially of the clockwork nature, but I think Asimov did it best. =D

Asimov is amazing!

Just absolutely amazing. I'm due a reread of all his robot writing, and a read through of the mysteries which I haven't gotten to yet.
