Star Wars and the surrounding paraphernalia is a cultural icon so linked to the modern understanding of sci-fi that few people could recognise a world without its influence. It has been referenced in newspaper headlines and in the Ronald Reagan defence initiative called Star Wars, of the later part ...

The first half of this book was a bit of a slog, but it got much better (action-wise) near the end. There are far too many references to the original Star Wars trilogy planted throughout to remind the reader again and again that he/she is reading a Star Wars book. Famous lines from the movies are us...

I just re-read this book in preparation for reading the final book in the series. I have a very hard time writing a book review on a re-read as I think having had the anticipation removed hinders (at least to some degree) the enjoyment of a novel. What does work for Zahn in this volume is a brilliantly unexploited idea within the EU. Seems like everybody is ap...

This is my first tie-in novel since I was in high school. All it took was the genius of combining Star Wars with a heist movie.--Seriously though. Is there a more easily watchable movie than Ocean's Eleven (Clooney edition)? I can't imagine coming across that movie on cable and not stopping to watch...

Not a bad "popcorn" read; serviceable, mindless entertainment.
