If you were to stick a chopstick directly through the middle of an orange it would come out on the opposite side. If you did the same with Trafalgar Square (using the world’s longest chopstick) where would it come out?

Whilst pondering these serious questions one day, we decided to give up life as we knew it to go and find the answer.

We are a couple from the United Kingdom and this is a real life account of our adventure exploring the world. We begin by flying from London to Hong Kong, before travelling through China, heading over the Yellow Sea to South Korea, and onwards to Japan.

From Japan we fly to Vietnam, and hop further south to New Zealand. Our journey back then begins as we head north in the direction of the UK. On the way we venture through Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

You may find that this book has a slightly strange format; each chapter has been written jointly by both of us at the time of travelling on our adventure (with the exception of some minor editing).

We have tried to be careful to accurately portray our experiences in these countries, and we hope our travel adventures inspire you to go and see the world.
