Lieutenant Eve Dallas faces one of her ugliest cases when she goes up against another officer who is just about her antithesis; the privileged daughter of a well-respected commander, she's nonetheless a dirty cop using the badge for her own ends. The focus here was more on the case than Eve's perso...

This was a much better entry than some of her later releases. I loved that the case was so focused on Peabody. A nice change from the norm.

Treachery In Death is the 32nd installment of the In Death Series by JD Robb. The book opens to Eve telling Peabody to work on her self defense after taking a ringer in the head during a collar. Eve and Roarke are back at the top of their game. More growth and understanding about relationships for Eve. A bit light on some of the secondary characters, but this book brought me back to the reason why I suck the in dead series up in the first place.

Naked in a shower in an old, unused gym in the basement of Cop Central, Peabody overhears two cops arguing about their own corruption and conspiracy in murder. One of them is a lieutenant, the daughter of a decorated ex-cop who is a legend and Whitney's predecessor. Knowing that if she is discover...

A solid Eve Dallas outing. I liked the whole cop premise. The reason I like this series is that I know what I'm in for.

I've already talked about this book a couple of times on the blog because I absolutely love this series. I think it is pretty incredible that the series has over 30 books and just keeps getting better. I have read every book published so far and have yet not to enjoy one...but this one, by far, is m...
