Full disclosure: I have never read the main Marvel U version Clone Saga, neither the 10-issue arc from the 70s nor the massive event that consumed all four (four? God) Spider-Man titles for two full years in the early 90s. So I have no basis of comparison for Bendis's 9-issue version. That may be a ...
