I can never quite love the Hollows books, but I never stop reading them, either! This is a world that you can't forget...there's something about the unique casting of characters and the way they all interact together that makes them so very memorable. I just love Rachel and Jenks. Their friendshi...
I'm playing catch-up with the Morgan series. I didn't realize that I had read this book before until I was halfway through it and suddenly I knew what was going to happen next. >.< I'm finding myself doing the same with Black Magic Sanction! I must've borrowed them from the library and that's why I ...
ugh..ok... I wanted to like this. I really did. I am enjoying the series for the most part, but this book felt like such a waste of my time until the last 50 pages or so. It felt totally filler and just made to make the series longer. There are so many things happening in the series as a whole, but ...
I don't think that this was the best book in the series, or had the most even plotting; at best, it represents a really excellent wrap-up of a few previous plotlines. Most notable was Rachel's acceptance, by the end, of her identity as a practitioner of black magic. Now, hopefully the series can mov...
Oh Rachel Morgan...there's never a dull moment when you're around! Still coping with the loss of her boyfriend, Rachel is determined to find his killer, using whatever means necessary. To uncover the truth she'll enlist the help of her faithful friends and partners Ivy, Jenks and Ford, a sensitive p...
This is the most disappointing book I've read in a long time. I knew other people had issues with it but like always I wanted to make my own option. Rachael's life is sad and always getting sadder. There is never a reprieve from the grief and disappointment this character suffers each book. For the ...
Tell the truth. Did you take the time to read all of those Hollows short stories scattered in anthologies over the past few years? If the answer is yes, you're finally getting your payoff. Just about every short story associated with the series comes into play here. And while you didn't HAVE to read...
For whatever reason, it took me awhile to finish this book. I had a hard time getting into this one, but once I did it was good. I liked the wrap-up with Kisten, I got all teary eyed again. I continue to enjoy this series.
This was the book that got me turned on to Kim Harrison. I like the world that Rachel lives in and Ivy and Jenks are a couple of my favorite characters. Jenks especially. I will allow that there are several aspects to this series that can get annoying (Rachel can make me grind my teeth), but over...
